You have stopped beside dark water reflecting the trees and the autumn sky. Human voices are almost absent here. Only the wind brushes against the reeds, while a stone guardian watches every person who enters the garden without moving.
This is the same guardian you saw through the half-open door. Nothing stands between you now. Yet the guardian remains silent.
The Steps to the Water
The path continues towards the stone steps descending from the castle to the water. Another silent guardian stands beside them. It does not stop you, yet it seems to be guarding something more important than the passage itself.
Some steps lead towards the castle, while others descend to the water. But the right path through the Labyrinth is not always visible. Sometimes it begins with an image you must recognise.
Look closely at the sign left by the guardian. It does not reveal the answer, but it shows you where your search must begin.
