Picturesque Guide to Ukraine is an authorial art project by Ukrainian artist Marina Stognieva, in which the country is revealed through painting, emotion, and an inner vision.

This is not just a collection of artworks, nor a traditional travel guide. It is a journey through Ukraine expressed in light, color, memory, and the atmosphere of each region. What matters here is not only what is depicted, but also what is felt.

Each region unfolds as a separate story — with its own character, rhythm, and mood. Through brushstrokes, the silence of the steppes, the depth of rivers, the warmth of cities, and the tenderness of blooming gardens are conveyed. The paintings become windows through which the viewer can immerse themselves in the feeling of a place, even without being physically there.

The project was born from an inner need — to preserve, reinterpret, and present Ukraine as it is seen and felt by the artist. In times of change and challenge, it also becomes an act of memory, love, and cultural presence.

Picturesque Guide to Ukraine brings together art, travel, and exploration. In the future, it will take the form of a book, where each chapter is dedicated to a specific region, as well as digital editions that offer early access to parts of this artistic journey.

It is a project about beauty that remains. About feelings that cannot be lost. And about Ukraine that lives — in color, in light, and in the heart.
