“Flowers on a Purple Background. Bouquet of Joy” is an original painting by Ukrainian artist Marina Stognieva, created in 2021. The work is painted in acrylic on canvas and has a large format of 105 × 120 cm.

At the centre of the composition is a generous bouquet arranged in a transparent vase. White, pink, lilac, cream, and golden flowers form a complex painterly mass that almost dissolves into the violet and lavender space around it. As a result, the bouquet feels less like a static still life and more like a living flow of colour, light, and movement.

The early stages reveal how Marina Stognieva gradually built the composition of the large bouquet. First, the main colour masses and relationships between light and shadow were established; then individual floral accents, petal textures, and the overall rhythm of the composition began to emerge.
