Still lifes are one of the most beloved genres of art lovers,

this painting "Sunflowers", was painted from nature, in July 2019, in the city of Kiev, by the artist Marina Stognieva. Sunflowers look bright and expressive against a dark background, symbolizing the golden sun, which, warming our earth, bestows fruits. Ripe watermelon and apples emphasize the generosity of nature. The picture is identified with wealth, as if inviting the contemplative to the table to taste a juicy crop.
