The Story Behind the Painting

“Nude Girl in Fishnet Stockings” is an original painting by Ukrainian artist Marina Stognieva, created in 2021 in oil on canvas. The work is part of the artist’s “Abstract Female Nude” series, in which she explores female physicality, freedom, sensuality, character, and the inner world of a woman.

The painting depicts a nude woman in fishnet stockings, seated in a relaxed and almost casual pose. One hand touches her face, her gaze is turned away, and the entire figure seems suspended in a brief moment of inner silence.
